Created entirely by hand, "Large Flower Stem Vase with Flowers & Mermaids" by artist Marc Armitano Domingo is inspired by english flower bricks from the 18th century. Each side is decorated with a different scene, two with mermaids, and the other two have floral designs. One floral design is based off of an original english flower brick, and the other is inspired by engravings from “A treatise of Japanning and Varnishing” by John Stalker.
